Introduction to Soapmaking
$60.00
Soap workshop. Make soap and leave with a loaf containing four bars.
Description
Soap, called the yardstick of civilization. Just three ingredients, oil, water, and lye. Soap has been with us for millennia. It is one of the few things, like the wheel and language, that has made possible our modern world.
In this workshop, you will create a block of soap, that you can cut into bars when you get home. You will learn how to use a soap calculator to determine how much of each ingredient is needed to achieve the type of soap you desire.
Then, you will mix the ingredients and pour them into a mold.
You will leave with your soap, which will cure overnight. The next day, you can release it from the mold and cut it into bars of soap. You’ll want to let it cure for a while, up to six weeks depending on the ingredients.
