The course he will be teaching will be Gunshot Wound and Trauma First Aid Course\, based on TCCC protocols and the Council on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Similar to those given to top law enforcement or military personnel. When asked how to describe the value and importance of this course he put it simply: “When seconds matter do you have the skills necessary to save a life?” \n\n\n\nIf you’ve been looking to acquire the skills necessary to save a life whether from injuries sustained from an active shooter\, negligent discharge on the range\, or car accident there will be something to take away for all experience levels. Whether you’ve never applied a tourniquet or you’re an experienced EMT there will be a lot of knowledge and skills to take away from the course. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nItinerary\n\n\n\n10:00 am – 2:00 pm Gunshot Wound and Trauma First Aid Course \n\n\n\nTCCC protocols and the Council on Tactical Combat Casualty Care – Keith Hanson\, including: \n\n\n\n\nHemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course;\n\n\n\nComplete coverage of the MARCH assessment; Massive hemorrhage\, Airway: Ensuring the patient can breathe\, Respirations: Checking for breathing and addressing any issues\, Circulation: Checking for blood flow and signs of shock\, Head injury/Hypothermia: Checking for head injuries and preventing hypothermia.\n\n\n\nTechniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety; and\n\n\n\nSecurity & Situational Awareness & Triage action steps for mass-casualty/active shooter or other combat like scenario.\n\n\n\n\n2:00 pm – 2:30 pm Lunch \n\n\n\nFood some will be provided\, but you may also bring food for yourself and to share \n\n\n\n2:30 pm  – 4:00 pm First Aid Drills Challenge Patch Ruck \n\n\n\nThis is where you will rehearse the skills you’ve just learned while out rucking around with a weighted backpack. DESCRIPTION:Soap is one of the fundamental inventions that created the modern world. Consisting of three basic ingredients\, oil\, water\, and a high-pH reactant (we usually use lye)\, soap’s main job is to separate oil and water\, which allows the oils and grime to be washed away. \n\n\n\nIn addition to the three basic ingredients\, there is an endless number of additions that can be used to enhance the smell and color\, change the cleaning properties\, and affect the hardness of the bar\, and the softness of the feel. \n\n\n\nHomemade soap takes about 6 weeks to cure\, so the batch you create in class will make for perfect gifts to give to friends and family for Christmas.

Now’s your chance to finally accomplish these goals\, to gain a greater understanding of the world around you\, by meeting weekly with like-minded people to read and discuss. \n\n\n\nCommitment is about 20 minutes of reading per day\, links will be provided for free versions of PDFs\, facsimiles\, or audiobooks. Of course you can buy the books\, or even borrow from your local library. Most times we are reading selections from a variety of a handful of books\, each selection building upon the previous\, to provide greater understanding and enjoyment.We meet weekly in Candia\, at 4:30 on Sunday. Tea and light refreshments are offered\, $5 suggested donation. Consisting of three basic ingredients\, oil\, water\, and a high-pH reactant (we usually use lye)\, soap’s main job is to separate oil and water\, which allows the oils and grime to be washed away. \n\n\n\nIn addition to the three basic ingredients\, there is an endless number of additions that can be used to enhance the smell and color\, change the cleaning properties\, and affect the hardness of the bar\, and the softness of the feel. \n\n\n\nIn this workshop\, we start in the classroom to learn about the chemical processes happening when you make soap and when you use it. Then\, we’ll take a look at an online soap calculator\, which will allow us to plug in desired traits and get the exact measurements of the ingredients required. \n\n\n\nThen\, we will move to the soap lab and mix up our batch.

DESCRIPTION:Garnet School is pleased to announce a partnership with Project Appleseed\, a nationwide group committed to upholding the values and principles of America’s founding fathers. They use rifle marksmanship instruction as a gateway to help bring our nation’s history to life and to show that many of the values that our forefathers relied on to win our independence are still very much in demand today. \n\n\n\nMost Appleseed events are two days\, usually a Saturday and Sunday. Since the partnership between Appleseed and Garnet School is new\, we figured a one-day event would be a good way to make sure our facilities and philosophies are in alignment. \n\n\n\nSo please try to join us on April 6th for a full day of rifleman training and so you can check out the goals and activities of this organization. When the mix is ready\, we pour the so-called batter into each of these molds. \n\n\n\nThe mixture must cool down over night\, but in the morning can be cut into individual bars. The bars will take about six weeks to cure\, during which time it will lose some of the water content and become harder. But mostly\, the curing time will allow the chemicals to get to know each other so they can work together to keep us clean.
