Gear Walk/Ruck/Shoot

Bring a backpack full of hiking supplies, water bottle, etc. I’ll be wearing a plate carrier and plenty of magazines and a rifle.

Last month, we did an easy hike around the campground a couple times. This month, we’re going to repeat the southern route for a demanding 3-1/2 mile hike with a total 600-ft rise over three hills. The last time we did this, the snow made the steep downhill snowmobile track a bit treacherous, but it should be better in April. Or not. Remember you can’t design your path when it comes time to bug-the-hell-out.

This is a free-of-charge, open-carry event. This will be held rain or shine, snow or heat wave. It is designed to prepare you for bugging out. In real life, you don’t get to wait until a nice sunny day to get moving.

Optional shooting after. Range donations accepted. If you want to bring after-hike protein, we’ll have the grill fired up. And the campfire. Your libation and smoke of choice is always welcome, just no shooting once you start imbibing.
