GrokFest NH Fall 2022

What’s a Grokfest?! – A gathering of mostly-normal people who enjoy the outdoors, good conversations, and great food. GrokFest NH Fall 2022 is hosted by Garnet School.

GrokFest NH is a weekend campout with fun activities at our Conspiracy Campground in Candia, NH. There are three themed areas on our 45-acre land, each one available for tent or RV camping. For RVs, make sure you are self-contained. The main area where most activities will take place is a short walk from the campsites.

For a review of GrokFest Spring 2022, check out the review at the Libertarian Institute.

The Fall event will be held Friday-Sunday, September 16-18. There will also be non-camping activities if you just want to spend the day with us. Accommodations, meals, and activities are reserved separately. You can choose when you get your tickets below. You can also choose once you get to the campsite, space allowing. The event is in Candia, NH. The address will be sent when you register and reserve your tickets.

This is a very laid-back event with plenty of scheduled activities and lots of time for socializing or working in the Maker Hut. The Maker Hut will have supplies and tools to make a folding camp chair, amongst other things. Meals are organic, fresh, and gourmet; most ingredients are sourced locally, some even from our farm.

There are three camping areas, each with a fun conspiracy theme:

Area 51

Area 51 is the camp area closest to the camp store. It’s a short walk to most activities happening during the day and night. This is a place where families usually camp, so there are plenty of kids around. The outhouse is actually a time machine.

Bohemian Grove

Bohemian Grove is that mysterious camp in the California redwoods where billionaires conspire to rule the world. Our scaled-down version is pretty much exactly like that.

Bohemian Grove is a quiet campsite, with lights-out at 10pm. Some people need sleep, you know. Also, we wouldn’t want to disturb the owl.

FEMA Camp 33

FEMA Camp 33 (NA fans will understand the reference) is neither child-friendly nor does it have a quiet time. It’s the farthest camp area and the only thing you’ll be bothering is the 375,000 volt power lines next door. So don’t pee on them in the middle of the night.

Each camp area has toilet facilities and a campfire ring. You can bring your own water, or get some at the Camp Store.

Activities

There are plenty of fun activities planned, some are free, some come with a fee.

Garnet School Open House

Grokfest is held at the Conspiracy Campground, which is part of the Garnet School of Self-Sufficiency in Candia, NH. Throughout the year, we conduct classes on all aspects of homesteading and self-sufficiency. The schoolhouse has a soap laboratory where we make soap, cosmetics, candles, and various oil concoctions. A “green” room where we grow microgreens year-round and start our spring garden, a meeting room, bathroom, full kitchen, a gym, and other spaces where we conduct our indoor classes.

Before and after Grokfest, join us for an open house at Garnet School where you can see the kinds of things we are offering.

Maker Hut

In the maker hut, you can create some cool things, a camp stool and clay pot for example.

Cornhole and Horseshoes

What campout is complete without cornhole and horseshoes? Maybe we’ll even have a tournament with prizes!

Club Conspiracy

Club Conspiracy is a place to hang out and enjoy company and libations.

Camp Store

The camp store is open all day. Coffee, tea, water, libations, a place to meet, and swag. All at the camp store.

Luxury Suite

We have a single bedroom and bathroom suite available for the night in case you don’t want to pitch a tent. Full closet. Check-in 2pm, check-out 11am.

No Agenda Meetup

In the Morning to all of the No Agenda fans. Commune with other fans of the best podcast in the universe! If you don’t know what that means, no problem. Join us and find out.

Bike Trails

We have miles of bike trails, both flat and hilly. Some are established for a leisurely pace, and some are quite rough for an exciting experience. Be sure and bring your bike and check it out!

Gun Class

Led by a certified firearms instructor, you can work on your pistol skills, learn some drills to take home, and maybe learn a few tidbits to help your precision, accuracy, or weapon handling.

Campfire and Fireworks

Saturday night, fireworks at the main area. And a communal campfire where the silliest and most serious discussions can be heard.
